The engineering coordinator is responsible for the preparation of construction plans, design, study and consecutive drawings and layouts and follow up its implementation; Perform office level technical and financial evaluations of the construction related projects proposal documents; play active roles in the contract administration process such as Bid document preparation, undertaking engineering cost estimate, engineering analysis and evaluation for the contractor bid document, contract agreement document preparation, etc; Conduct field level technical study and analysis to verify the design, implementation methodology and appropriateness of the planned activities of the construction project; and provide technical support to ActionAid Ethiopia and partner organizations’ construction related project (water supply projects, irrigation projects, school buildings and other constructions), and follow up the proper accomplishment of the construction projects.
M.SC/ BSC degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management/ or other related disciplines and a minimum of 6 years relevant experience for M.Sc degree or 8 years’ experience for B.Sc Degree preferably in the areas of water, rural access road, small scale irrigation and other building construction.
